Thursday, September 29, 2016 / #CaseStudySummit / – What a great panel moderated by Sam Mallikarjunan – Principal Marketing Strategist at HubSpot, which included panelists: Meredith Olmstead – Inbound Marketing Consultant and Founding Partner at Social Stairway, Anthony Burnett – Customer Experience Director at Level5, Dan Moyle – Creative Director of Marketing at AmeriFirst Home Mortgage, and Chris Nichols – Chief Strategy Officer at CenterState Bank.
There were so many powerful points shared throughout the session and a lot of laughter as well, I’m getting a Dan Moyle cardboard cut out! The theme was fun yet super informative. There were so many different perspectives since there was a wide variety of panelists like Anthony Burnett – who focuses on transforming how community banks create relationships with their customers and Meredith Olmstead – who provides Digital Marketing services to Credit Unions and affiliates, plus mortgage banker Dan Moyle and regional banker Chris Nichols! Being with HubSpot and having a big strategy focus, Sam Mallikarjunan brought it all together so well. The theme of this #CaseStudySummit inbound marketing panel that resonated with me most was the major difference between just doing social media marketing and becoming ultra focused on inbound marketing – that is what makes a significant difference in regards to results.
My key takeaway: Building highly targeted personas is key, next to building content and a digital funnel experience that is custom to those personas – this combination is what significantly increases potential results from your financial institutions inbound marketing efforts. Each panelists shared how they build personas, more specifically Chris Nichols and Dan Moyle provided powerful persona-building insights from their successful experiences. Overall it was a great mix of questions and panelist interactions, I personally can’t wait to watch the On-Demand version of this panel. I want to thank each one of these inbound experts for sharing such great knowledge. I had a blast!
